28 April 2010The natural world has long served as inspiration for industrial designers, but perhaps never so literally as with Seasons, the serving container by Japanese designer Nao Tamura. Not only inspired by nature, but recreating it, Seasons is a sliver of lightweight, durable, green silicon, approximating the flexibility (it can be rolled up and stored) and individuality (each shape varies slightly) of a leaf. Seasons was awarded the Salone Satellite prize at the Milan furniture fair last week.
